Accessibility Resources can make a range of assistive technology devices and resources available to support an individual student's in-class notetaking including the Audio Notetaker app and application, an Echo SmartPen or a digital recorder.
In addition, Instructors can:-
Provide a copy of lecture notes, overheads, power point presentations, ideally prior to class.
Establish a Google Account for the class and encourage contributions to shared Google Docs. ARS recommends one document per class meeting.
Appoint a class notetaker to start of this process. Others can also contribute and modify documents.
ARS can also, as a service, not an accommodation, seek out a class colleague who may be prepared to share their notes with a student. To request this service, complete the Supplementary Notes Request form.
