Non-Standard Scheduling Request

Deadlines to submit an NSS Form for Final Exams are below. We cannot guarantee we will have capacity or space available to process your request but will do our best.

If you miss the deadline, please contact your professor immediately to discuss alternative arrangements. With your professor’s written permission, we may be able to schedule you for a make-up time (Wed. 5/8 at 9am or 3pm, or Fri. 5/10 at 12pm).

If your exam is on...  The NSS Form deadline is...
 Thursday 5/2  Monday 4/29 @ 5pm
 Friday 5/3  Tuesday 4/30 @ 5pm
 Monday 5/6  Wednesday 5/1 @ 5pm
 Tuesday 5/7  Wednesday 5/1 @ 5pm
 Wednesday 5/8 (make-up day)  Monday 5/6 @ 5pm
 Thursday 5/9  Monday 5/6 @ 5pm
 Friday 5/10 (3pm start only)  Tuesday 5/7 @ 5pm
 Friday 5/10 (12pm start only)  Wednesday 5/8 @ 5pm

For regular tests, quizzes, or exams (not final exams), the Non-Standard Scheduling Request Form (NSS Form) should be used if you missed the usual one-week deadline to schedule your exam through the ARS Hub.

  • Our ability to schedule an exam outside of our regular process via the ARS Hub is dependent upon the availability of space and Testing Center staff.
  • Submission of this form does not guarantee your test/exam/assessment can be scheduled at the requested day and time and you should continue to explore other arrangements with your instructor in the event that we cannot make arrangements for you.

Final Exam Instructions

Day & Time

Unless you an approved EXAM EXCUSE FORM, you must schedule your Final Exam for the same day as the rest of your class. ARS offers 2 seating times for each Final Exam day – 9 AM or 3 PM, and on Friday 5/10 an additional time slot at 12 PM.

  • If your exam starts at 8 AM for the rest of the class, schedule for the 9 AM seating.
  • If your exam starts at 4 PM or later for the rest of the class, schedule for the 3 PM seating.
  • If your exam starts at 12pm (Noon) for the rest of the class, check with your instructor to see which seating to schedule.

Exceptions

  • On Fri. 5/10 the 9am time slot is full. We have a limited number of seats available at 12:00pm.
  • On Wed. 5/8 (a Reading Day) we will have a limited number of seats available at 9 AM and 3 PM. Please only request this day if needed for 100+% Extended Testing Time, if assistive technology is needed as part of your approved accommodations, or if you have an approved EXAM EXCUSE FORM.
  • If you have 9+ hours of testing in a single day, or if one or more of your exams have scheduling conflicts (two at the same time or accommodations making your exams overlap), you will need to submit the official EXAM EXCUSE FORM. Please remember to check the box next to “ARS” when submitting, or it will not route to us for review.
